Diabetes Coalition of York County: The Diabetes Coalition of York County has developed a resource guide for individuals and families aiming to prevent or better manage diabetes.  Funding to create and print the guide was provided by a grant from York County Community Foundation’s Embracing Aging Initiative.  Download the Diabetes Resource Guide here.

The coalition held the 1ST ANNUAL DIABETES EXPO on March 24, 2018 at the Penn State York.  Thank you to all who visited and supported this event.  We will be repeating this expo next year.  This was a free expo. providing resource information, free glucose, cholesterol, BMI, A1C, and balance testing.

Safe Kids York County:  Safe Kids York County, a coalition of public, private, and voluntary organizations, identifies and prevents childhood injuries through education, networking and advocacy. The coalition supports the major risk themes of Safe Kids Worldwide as applicable to local childhood injury needs.

Tobacco-Free York County protects the public health of York County by partnering with community members to advocate, promoting and educating on the benefits and resources to achieve tobacco-free living.

York Adams Immunization Coalition: mission is to coordinate immunization activities and services to promote public awareness and educate providers about the timely and effective immunization of residents in York and Adams counties across the lifespan.

York County Falls Free Coalition
The Falls Free Coalition of York County is an active organization with a mission of partnering with the community to increase fall prevention awareness for York County older adults to decrease the number of falls and help older adults to live longer in the place they call home.

York County Food Alliance: Building a Healthy Food System for All.  The York County Food Alliance was created to…

  • Involve local individuals, organizations and businesses in building a sustainable local food system that promotes the health of individuals, communities and the natural environment

  • Develop programs that address gaps in the county’s food system
  • Advocate for and advise on food system and food policy implementation

York Regional Opiate Collaborative    To form a partnership of community, medical and government agencies dedicated to reducing the abuse of heroin in our communities; to educating our citizens of the prevalence of the heroin problem, the signs and symptoms of addiction, and the resources available; to reducing drug related deaths and crime in our communities, through public education, advocacy, media, law enforcement and legislation.
